Risk profile

The context in which the Integrated Plan of Intervention Cremona Cityhub develops, includes the urban area “ex Annonaria” that from North-East wedges on the historic center of Cremona. It is bounded on the north by the railway line Milano-Cremona-Mantova, on the south and west by two roads arranged radially from the city, via Mantova and via Brescia. Currently the area has service functionalities. There are several parking facilities and the amenities concerning the stadium, in addition to large enclosures of decommissioned estates. The project’s functional mix provides for: private and social housing, office, retail (commercial facilities below 2.500 sqm), productive activities and quaternary sector (technology center), municipal services, all of this supported and intersected by large public pedestrian spaces.

 

The city of Cremona (71.657 inhabitans) is part of Lombardy Region, the Italian business hub: it is home of 800,000 companies and has almost 10 million inhabitants. Its GDP on its own is higher than that of countries including Norway, Greece, Austria, Demark, Finland and Portugal. Lombardy is also the Italian gateway for FDIs: over 60% of FDI coming to Italy (92 of the top 100 multinational companies in Italy). The location of the development is at the edge of old town, on main entry/exit ways. The Railway station is at 1,5 km (Milano-Mantova), while the Highway is at 2,5 km (A21 Brescia-Torino).
