The complex is in the picturesque territory of the Province of Perugia, Municipality of Montone. The Rocca stands in an unspoiled landscape, falling within an agricultural area of environmental protection, and is situated isolated at the highest part of a hill, about 8 km north of the center of the municipality of Montone. This panoramic and strategic position allows a view over a wide area that includes the picturesque localities of Carpini, Bagnolo, and San Faustino, extending visually towards the village of Pietralunga.

Access to the site is guaranteed by the E45 highway (Orte – Ravenna axis), exiting at the Montone – Pietralunga junction. The route then continues along provincial road 201 towards Pietralunga; at approximately kilometer 6.5, turn left and, after crossing the bridge over the Carpina stream, the final stretch first runs along a comfortable municipal road and finally along a picturesque local dirt road that leads directly to the walls of the fortress.
