The transformation area of 142,000 sqm is located near the "Napoli-Campi Flegrei" metro station, in the Fuorigrotta district, and can be divided into two lots: the Campegna area, of 105,000 sqm, affected by the station project and the depot of the L6 metropolitan line, and the area between via Diocleziano and via Giulio Cesare, of 37,000 sqm, intended for urban development. The latter involves the implementation of new building rights with different uses, such as student residences, office spaces, accommodation facilities, as well as commercial and residential areas.
The area, near Campi Flegrei Station, is located close to the sea and the historical urban core, strongly connected with the surroundings (residential and universitary poles, Mostra d’Oltremare and recreational areas).
FS Sistemi Urbani is developing, together with other relevant Institutions, interventions of urban transformation and infrastructural enhancement. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in December 2021 between the City of Naples and FS Sistemi Urbani, which enshrines the commitment to implement the urban transformation process in the area. The project includes several actions, the enhancement of intermodality and accessibility in the area, the construction of the new L6 metro station, with the interchange between the L2 – L6 metro stops, as well as the development of new functions both public and private, such as the creation of student halls for the university hub, executive spaces and commercial areas.
It is planned to stitch up the fronts of Piazzale Tecchio and Via Campegna.
TSA: 130.000 m²

The area subject to urban transformation is located in the peripheral area of Naples (population 913,462), in the Fuorigrotta district, in the southern quadrant of the city, approximately 5 km from the historic centre (Piazza del Plebiscito). The area is located in a central position with respect to the main attractions located in its vicinity: the Federico II University, the Mostra d’Oltremare, the Maradona stadium, the Agnano racecourse and other cultural activities. The proximity of the area to the main road and motorway arteries, and the prime provision of public transport (underground and regional railways), guarantee excellent accessibility to the area. The extensive railway connectivity is guaranteed by the adjacent metro station of line 2 “Napoli-Campi Flegrei”, connected to the Naples railway hub (HS and regional railways), in addition to the new L6 and L7 metro lines under development. Exit 10 of the Naples ring road (A-56), which allows access to the national motorway network, is located 2.5 km from the area (10 minutes by car), while the international airport of Capodichino (4th airport Italian airport with 11 million passengers in 2022), is approximately 12 km away (20-25 minutes by car).
