The property is accessible through a driveway gate, from number 28 of Via Boccadifalco, near Piazza Pietro Micca, built on the ruins of an ancient building. The land has pedestrian paths, terracing and typical tree species. At the north-west border of the area, a tank for collecting rainwater can be found; to the east, the ruins of a rural construction in load-bearing masonry stand out. Only some walls and a two-storey structure of the once multi-storey L-shaped building are still visible today, in mediocre conservation and maintenance conditions. The land is located within an ancient State property, a residual portion of the Bourbon Reserve of Boccadifalco, established between 1799 and 1815 by Francis of Bourbon for hunting and experimenting with new technologies and agricultural techniques. The property, declared of cultural interest, is protected pursuant to Art. 10 of Legislative Decree no. 42/2004. According to the current GTP, the asset falls within the homogeneous territorial zone “A2”, as these are territories that include historical urban fabrics and artefacts already built in 1939, classified as “netto storico” (historical nett), in case they are not included within other homogeneous territorial zones.

The property is located in the suburban area of Palermo, capital of the Sicily region. It is located within the Boccadifalco district, on a hill above Boccadifalco and Umberto Maddalena streets, west of the city centre, in an area with occasional steep slopes. The city centre can be reached by public transport, with stops on lines 307 and 327. The prevalent urban uses are “Residential Areas”; “Equipment of General Interest”; “Sports Equipment” and “Historical Green”. The main road network is represented by Via Pitrè, the main connection with the “Circonvallazione” (ring road) and the A19-A20 (Palermo – Messina – Catania) and A29 (Palermo – Trapani – Mazara del Vallo) motorways. The property is located 8 km away from the Cathedral and 7 km from the Teatro Massimo and the Teatro Politeama. Morevoer, it is located 32 km away from the Falcone-Borsellino airport and approximately 9 km from the central railway station.
