The production site, former furnace “Fornaci Giuliane”, of large dimensions (covered area of 20,000 sqm), consists of an agglomeration of buildings for industrial use, built in various periods, grouped in a single production block; on the edge of the property, used as offices, a building can be found and there are large yards around the warehouses for the storage of the brick materials produced; the territorial area included in the property, which extends for about 16 hectares, is partly for agricultural use and partly covered by large wooded areas, which have been maintained as a curtain of environmental protection towards the hilly area; a natural lake, originating from the runoff of the water and from the type of soil, can be found inside the wooded area. The property, which is in poor maintenance conditions, could be redeveloped via demolition and reconstruction with a future logistics use.

The production plant is located in the peripheral area of Sagrado (population 2,166), a small town in the province of Gorizia, not far from the border with Slovenia. The site can be reached via the SR-305 Monfalcone-Gorizia regional road, via a one-lane railway underpass, along Viale Giuseppe Verdi and taking Via Fornaci, for direct access to the plant. The “Villesse” and “Monfalcone-Ronchi dei Legionari” motorway exits, on the “A-4 (Turin-Venice-Trieste) motorway, are 6 km from the building; the railway station for unloading goods of Gorizia is 12 km away, while that of Sagrado, on the Trieste-Venice section, is located near the property. Trieste “Ronchi dei Legionari” airport is located 12 km away from the area.
