The lot is  in the west of Turin, between the sports facilities of the “Ruffini Park” and the “Pietro Mennea Park” and the railway line of connections to France. Accessibility is guaranteed by Corso Rosselli, an important axis of penetration towards the city center and from 2026 also by the new railway station, for which it is planned to build an interchange parking.

The rectangular lot is identified as “San Paulo” for which the Urban Plan provides mix of uses with minimum 80% of productive activities and services (Eurotorino) and maximum 20% of Service Activities to People and Companies (ASPI).

In 2019, FSSU signed the «Protocollo di intenti» with the Municipality to update the PRG forecasts on the 7 abandoned railway areas, including “San Paolo”. FSSU has also organized the Workshop «Rail City Lab» which has collected proposals for the transformation of the areas, then sent to the Control Room for approval in the City Council.

 

The property is located in a near-central area of the Municipality of Turin (population 896,773), capital of the Province of Turin and regional capital of Piedmont. Turin is Italy’s 4th largest city in terms of resident population. The area, located in Borgo San Paolo, between the railway line and Corso Carlo e Nello Rosselli, features residential buildings benefiting from public and private services, and shops and businesses, up to medium-sized facilities. The area is around 3 km from Porta Susa station and the Polytechnic University of Turin. It is well served by public transport, with bus stops opposite the property and the “Vinzaglio” metro stop 2.8 km away.
