Rome: consumer credit record +54% compared to 2013

According to the Compass Observatory (Mediobanca Group), the consumer credit has been crucial to support the Italian families expenditures: without the chance to defer payments, it is estimated that only the 20% would finalize the property purchase, while the 80% would give up on it or at least postpone the expenditure.

In the last few years the sector has grown, closing 2017 with a new record in terms of targeted loans reaching over € 19 billion (+ 7.8% on 2016 and + 54% on 2013), with an average value for the purchase of € 5,300 (+ 37% on 2013). Forecasts on the next twelve months economic situation show positive signals, it will have positive effects also on sales.
