Urban development, Parma looks at the Lyon model

Parma is Unesco creative city for gastronomy and it will be Capital of Culture in 2020.

It has invested more than 60 million to recover abandoned areas that will find new identity through music, art and food and it has set a strategy concerning seven socio-cultural districts.

Looking to the future, the city focuses on culture, as a leverage to attract investors and tourists, and to improve the quality of its citizens life.

It is a city-branding operation that looks at Lyon as a reference model, a city that has invested and improved its appeal for companies related to medicine and agro-food, cultural traditions.
