The “Angelo Maj” property consists of an ancient convent with a distinctive fifteenth-century cloister, annexed to the Church of Paradise. The property covers a gross surface area of 2,488 sqm and is divided into three aboveground levels; a small basement and a large outdoor car park for 100 cars can also be found on the grounds. The redevelopment project – restoration and conservative rehabilitation with expansion – of the ancient Angelo Maj Cloister was born as a response to the changing and multiple needs of the Upper Seriana Valley; the building, transformed into a boarding school in the 19th century, will be renovated creating spaces with hospitality functions, for short stays, aimed at increasing local tourism (characterised by numerous places and itineraries that can be visited in one day), co-working spaces, commercial functions and conference room.

The property is located in the municipality of Clusone (population 8,559), in the province of Bergamo, in the Valle del Serio territory. Among the most beautiful villages in Italy, Clusone is characterized by being historically a tourist centre with a decisive role for the entire territory of the Valle del Serio, for its artistic heritage, for the naturalistic and sporting offer, and for the presence of a historic centre full of shops and leisure opportunities. Thanks to its strategic position, a short distance from the ski slopes and the most scenic paths of the Orobie Alps, from Lake Iseo and from the city of Bergamo, it represents the ideal place to respond to new forms of tourism, both for relaxing and fun stays and for unforgettable experiences between art, culture, history and nature, with activities dedicated to children and teenagers. The city of Bergamo is located 35 km from Clusone (30-45 minutes by car), easily reachable along the SS-671, while the “Orio al Serio” international airport of Bergamo (3rd Italian airport for passenger traffic) is approximately 38 km away from the area (45-50 minutes by car).
