The intervention involves the construction of accommodations for students and the elderly, within the structure of the former Mombello psychiatric hospital; within the property, which covers an area of 44 hectares, partially abandoned buildings can be found, built between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century – used as hospital structure, in addition to the ancient Villa Crivelli dating back to the 14th century. One of the pavilions will be redeveloped to build a student residence, with 108 beds as well as service spaces. The residences for the elderly, for 60 users, will instead be built by restoring the villas originally intended for doctors. The location of the recovery intervention represents a historical institution in the area, due to the significant role it has played in the past, for the protection of the mental health in the region. The recovery of the property, which constituted the former psychiatric hospital of Mombello and is now in a state of partial abandonment, represents a great investment opportunity due to its geographical location, its historical and environmental connotation and the overall dimensions of the intervention.

The real estate property undergoing recovery is located on the outskirts of Limbiate (population 34,910), a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza (population 873,606), in the Lombardy Region. The area is located in a strategic position, near the Groane Park and the LIPU (Italian Bird-Protection League) Protected Oasis, in a healthy environmental context of considerable interest, which offers multiple opportunities and activities to be carried out outdoors. The area is well connected with the public transport infrastructure, which allows to reach the cities of Monza and Milan with their respective university centres in 60 minutes. In the neighbouring municipalities, medical facilities and cultural centres can be found. The recovery initiative has the following strengths:
