Gussoni Grimani Della Vide Palace is situated in the Cannaregio area and looks over the left side of Canal Grande, in front of Ca’ Pesaro, between Casa Velluti and Da Lezze Palace. Built between 1548 and 1556 for the Gussoni family, members of a family present in Venice since the 11th century, the palace presents a map of its interior that is particular, characterized by the presence of a foyer with columns, a courtyard with paintings and made up of 6 floors. The main prospect, that looks over Canal Grande and particularly elegant, is characterized as per tradition by the horizontal and vertical partitioning. In the centre of the composition, there are two areas with a balcony, one above the other. The property, currently used for head offices such as the Regional Administrative Court, has the restriction as an area of cultural interest on behalf of the superintendence for the protection of historical and artistic heritage. The General Regulatory Plan of the City of Venice allows the transformation into residential or touristic and accommodation facilities.
